Mango Deck, one of the city's most notorious nightlife destinations, is just around the corner, while the touristy marina will take five minutes to reach on foot. Squid Roe, another infamous nightclub, is about 10 minutes away in an area packed with bars, cheap taco joints, and touristy shops. For a taste of more authentic street food, head to Calle Jose Maria Morelos, where vendors sling everything from churros to tres leches cake amid local shops and restaurants. It's a 45-minute drive to the quaint town of San Jose del Cabo, which has a happening arts scene and lots of quaint cafes and boutiques.

Although some rooms are a bit dated, many have a sharp look, with plenty of extra seating and modern amenities. Unfortunately there are fees for spotty Wi-Fi and restaurant noise can be an issue in some rooms. There's a nice coffee shop on-site, and the pool and hot tub stay bumping throughout the day.
